LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (LAX)

TEMPORARY SOUTH COMPLEX RUNWAY 25R/7L CLOSURES

 

LAX will temporarily close the south inboard runway (25R/7L) on the following specific dates and times for maintenance and other activities.

  • May 5, 2021, Wednesday, 6 AM – 1 PM
  • May 20 - 22, 2021, Thursday to Saturday, 12:30 AM – 5:30 AM

Persons living near LAX may notice a change in aircraft flight activity and noise during these temporary runway closures. When the south inboard runway (25R/7L) temporarily closes during these periods, more aircraft are expected to use the south outboard runway (25L/7R) for departure and arrival operations. In addition, some aircraft operations may shift from the South to the North Complex.  

 

The FAA plans to continue conducting Over-Ocean Operations at LAX between 12 AM and 6:30 AM during these closures if weather and other operational conditions permit.
