LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (LAX)

TEMPORARY NORTH COMPLEX RUNWAY 24L/6R CLOSURE

May 7, 2021

2 AM – 6:30 AM

LAX will temporarily close the north inboard runway (24L/6R) on May 7th from 2 AM to 6:30 AM for navigation equipment maintenance.

Persons living near LAX may notice a change in aircraft flight activity and noise during this temporary runway closure. With the north inboard runway (24L/6R) closed, more aircraft are expected to use the north outboard runway (24R/6L) for arrival operations.

The FAA plans to continue conducting Over-Ocean Operations at LAX during this closure between 12 AM and 6:30 AM if weather and other operational conditions permit.

Thank you for your understanding and patience during this temporary situation.
